English paper piecing really affords creating projects in three dimension. It’s such a fun way to explore shapes and how they can come together.
I present to you another pattern, using unique shapes and the English Paper Piecing method to create your next pincushion. This pincushion finishes just slightly over 6 inches and has a low base so that it’s not too clunky or overpowering on your sewing table. But it does give you a lot of surface for lots of pins!
This pattern requires some experience with English Paper Piecing, but does include extensive instructions on how to put this together if you want to give this project a try. The design was inspired by some tile work seen in Switzerland by my son - who does all the wonderful diagrams in the patterns that you purchase. If interested I hope you check it out. It’s a great small(ish) project to explore and hone your EPP skills. Enjoy.
